The guestbook is not entirely functional (again, the site is in its early stages), and to view the guest book, you must sign it. Glitches in the guest book are under advisement--a fancy way to say, I'm trying really hard to figure it out!--Leslie)

De Soto State Park has an old fort, and excellent beaches, if you're in that area. We were there right after a thunderstorm, and one of Florida's endangered marine mammals, a manatee, made a surprise appearance in the waters near the beach--to the surprise of swimmers.
